This is one of the two famous Proust armchair models by Alessandro Mendini
In 2009, Alessandro Mendini created a new geometric version of his famous Proust armchair for Cappellini. He originally developed this design classic for the Alchimia group. In 1978, Alessandro Mendini reworked a classic armchair in the Louis Size style with an elaborate painting, thus creating an abstraction of the furniture.
The armchair is made of beech wood and painted on all sides. Approx. dimensions Height 109 cm - 42.91 in, width 100.5 cm - 39.57 in, depth 92 cm - 36.22 in, seat height 41 cm - 16.14 in.
The designer and architect Alessandro Mendini was one of the revolutionaries of Italian design in the 1970s and 1880s and was a member of the Alchimia group of artists.
