This kind of pottery was used in Europe during centuries to cook on the fireplace, placing them on top of an iron tripod, thus its rounded base. The outside patina it's due to the many years or decades of burning on the fire. The interior is a natural terracota glazed color. The earthenware or terracotta pots or jars add a timeless decoration to the home and garden. Beautiful as interior or exterior garden decoration. In beautiful weathered condition. See less
