A rare, medium ‘Dora’ rock lamp designed by André Cazenave for Singleton in 1969. Made from a unique blend of polyester resin and marble powder, its natural shape and ambient light evoke the serene glow of the moon. Each Dora lamp is hand-finished, making every piece one-of-a-kind.
André Cazenave (1928–2003) was a French designer and sculptor, renowned for his unique lighting designs that seamlessly blend functionality with artistic expression. He is best known for his ‘Galets’ (Pebbles) lamps, which embody his philosophy of drawing inspiration from natural forms. The ‘Dora’ light is one of Cazenave's lesser-known yet equally compelling designs, showcasing his continued fascination with organic shapes and natural aesthetics.
Great vintage condition, with minor age-related marks. This lamp has been professionally rewired for U.S. use by our team of restorationists with a white cord and switch. Accepts one E26 light bulb.
