Gorgeous! I love this quilt. This antique quilt is French and dates to circa 1850 or just a bit earlier! The front fabric is a wonderful burgundy cotton, with small floral pink and white sprigs and stripes! The backing is Turkey red dyed cotton and there is a dense cotton batting between the layers. This quilt is hand stitched in a beautiful pattern. There is wear along the edges, and some holes in the backing but the front fabric is in beautiful condition! stunning (EQ 12)
Measurements: This lovely textile measures 58 inches by approx. 77 inches
Condition: This piece is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with storage dust. Ive kept this textile in as found condition for collectors, however this textile can be dry cleaned or hand washed on cold and hung to dry if one would like to use as bedding! Please see photographs to view condition closely as its important! Unwashed condition reflected in the price.
