  • "Douglas P.: Sorry Doug, I don't see any other option at this point. Geoff"

    Oct. 9, 2017, 10:14 a.m.

  • "I appreciate the work you did to find the actual shipping cost. Although I did not want to exceed my original offer, I love the painting enough to meet your asking price. However, it is the shipping cost that still stands in the way. If there is any other option, please let me know so that we may finalize the sale today."

  • "size is 60 in by 50 in by 6 in."

    Oct. 2, 2017, 11:08 a.m.

  • "Dear Doug, sorry to take so long on this! I checked it out and UPS Ground will get a self-packaged 30 pound item w/insurance of $1100.00 to you for $148 (I used a zip code of West Hollywood/Beverly Hills) That's the cheapest I can find. Please LMK if you are still interested and we can go from there. Geoff"

    Oct. 2, 2017, 11:07 a.m.

  • "That makes sense."

    Sept. 22, 2017, 4:17 p.m.

  • "Douglas P.: Well, it means that somebody is out for the amount. What if we agree to split - ie, in the (unlikely) event that the painting is lost or damaged we would both be responsible for half, I would eat the painting and give you a refund of half the money? I know it's not ideal. Let me check and get a real estimate as to costs of shipping, w/and without insurance."

    Sept. 22, 2017, 3:46 p.m.

  • "Thanks Geoff, but before I agree to this I would like to understand a bit more. Should the painting be lost or damaged in route is that my responsibility? I am not sure what $100 buys today with UPS or FedEx. Thanks for trying to make this work."

    Sept. 20, 2017, 7:59 p.m.

  • "Hi Doug. I understand Chairish "white glove" prices are expensive. If you can pay me something - say $100 flat - for the shipping I will pack the painting myself and send it to you via FedEx or UPS. That won't cover insurance and the painting needs to be crated which makes it heavy but I think I can get it there for that price more or less. Would that work for you? I really hate to turn down a collector who is so enamored of one of my pieces! Best, Geoff"

    Sept. 19, 2017, 7:48 p.m.

  • "Hi Geoff. I was just wondering where we stand with the delivery of your painting? I see you still have it listed. I would be very disappointed if you wound up selling it to someone else. If it is not going to happen just let me know and I will move on. Thanks again."

    Sept. 19, 2017, 5:30 p.m.

  • "Thanks Geoff. The price you require is fine. Now how do we get it down to the LA area? Where there is a will there is a way. I have faith you can make it happen."

    Sept. 7, 2017, 5:18 p.m.

  • "Hello again, Doug. Well I gotta say you are persistent! Sadly I do not know anyone here who is going to LA or more importantly, has a vehicle large enough to accommodate the painting. I would bring it down myself but it won't fit in my Camry and renting a truck or van would end up costing as much as the white glove shipping or even more. I'll contact you next time I'm coming down - maybe I can tie the picture on top (?) - but it may not be for awhile... sorry to be so complicated! Best, Geoffr"

    Sept. 6, 2017, 8 p.m.

  • "Hi Geoff, I hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend. I just wanted to see where we stand on getting your painting down to the LA area."

    Sept. 5, 2017, 10:32 a.m.

  • "Thanks Geoff, we are interested. I will check this correspondence page from time to time."

    Aug. 25, 2017, 8:38 a.m.

  • "Thanks for getting back on this Doug, I appreciate it and I do understand your position. I wish I could drop a bit more but my large figure paintings were all priced at $1500+ and I lowered it to compensate for Chairish's "white glove" ship costs. If I find a way to get the painting down to LA I will let you know - although the price would still have to be $1100. Thanks again for your interest, Geoff"

    Aug. 24, 2017, 9:20 p.m.

  • "I can appreciate your position. I love the painting, but at this time I cannot go any higher. If there is a change of heart, please do not hesitate to contact me. Best of luck with your collection........"

    Aug. 24, 2017, 6:04 p.m.

  • "Hello again Douglas. I'm sorry but I cannot accept less than $1100 for this particular painting and I cannot eat the entire shipping cost. If you are still interested I will talk to Chairish and set up something cheaper for you as far as delivery but I'm afraid that is my best offer. Hope that works, Geoff"

    Aug. 24, 2017, 3:17 p.m.

  • "Geoff, thank you for your response. Can we split the difference and make it an even $1000 including shipping? If someone you know is coming down to the LA area, that would suffice as well."

    Aug. 24, 2017, 10:50 a.m.

  • "Dear Douglas, I did not receive your message. I don't know what happened, I try to respond quickly to any message. Sorry about that! While I appreciate your kind words and your interest in my work, I'm afraid I cannot let "Nuda Peccatum Aderit" go for $900. The posted price is close to rock bottom - if you could see your way to offer $1100 I will pack the piece myself and get you a lower shipping cost via UPS or FedEx . Hope that works for you, Geoff"

    Aug. 24, 2017, 10:33 a.m.

  • "I wrote to you yesterday, but I do not believe it went through. I would very much like to own this painting, however, it is over my budget. I can go as high as $900 including delivery to Los Angeles. I think you are very talented and would love to see your work in my home."

    Aug. 24, 2017, 10:13 a.m.

  • "Hello Douglas, Yes this is an original painting, not a repro or print. My name is Geoffrey Greene and I am the artist. The painting is on stretched canvas with a 3 inch depth ("museum depth" as it is called) The artwork is signed on the reverse but if you like I will sign the front also. It does not require framing and is ready to hang. Thanks for your interest in my work! Sincerely, Geoff Greene"

  • "Is this an original painting? What is the name of the artist? I believe it is signed on the painting? Is it ready for hanging or does it have to be framed? Thank you."
