Circa 1890

Handcrafted in Europe in the late 19th century, the original matched pair of antique tables feature a circular top with elaborately decorated molded edge with desirable overhang and ornate running ornamentation reliefs, separated by two graduated layers, the exquisite carvings continue in bands around the apron with gardooning edge. Truly a time consuming endeavor reserved for only the finest furniture and done by only skilled master craftsmen. The round tabletop over substantial sized central turned bulbous shaped carved acanthus leaf motif standard, resting on four scroll architectural corbel style bracket feet.

As warm and attractive as they are functional and flexible, the exceptionally executed, rare, possibly custom made one-of-a-kind tables are full of character and charm, with the ideal proportions for a variety of different uses, including use a accent or occasional table, chair-side table, end table, coffee table, cocktail drinks table, low center / centre guerdidon, parlor foyer or entry lamp stand, oversized sculpture or decorative arts display stand, bedside nightstand, or as striking accent pieces!
