Early 20th c. antique Rococo style burlwood two drawer commode featuring a serpentine façade characteristic of Rococo design. Bombe in shape on all three sides, the chest stands on cabriole legs ending with bronze sabot feet over a scalloped apron. Both shoulders are embellished with ormolu mounts. The two serpentine drawers have with flourishing brass handles and matching escutcheons. The surface is dressed with a shaped variegated marble top of different shades of green.
This is a very smart looking cabinet. This piece would work well as a bedside cabinet/nightstand, in a small hallway as a landing spot for keys, mail etc or as extra storage in a bathroom.
