Antique chromolithograph by F. Durin from Auguste Racinet's l'Ornement Polychrome, a book published in the 1870s containing approximately 2,000 motifs of styles including ancient and Asian art, the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and 17th and 18th centuries.
This chromolithograph is one of two in the book detailing Mauresque (Moorish) styles, and the various architectural decoration motifs in the panel all come from the Alhambra, the marvelous palace of the Moorish Kings of Granada.
This particular chromolithograph (Plate XXX) was printed and published by Firmin-Didot Brothers Sons & Co, Paris.
It is accompanied by a separate leaf with descriptive text.
