It is imprinted on the bottom with the company's logo (a minotaur), and the company name, Chase. Chase was founded in 1876 as an industrial metal parts company, but shifted their focus in the 1930s to production of decorative objects and housewares. They commissioned notable Industrial designers such as Walter Von Nessen and Russel Wright to develop products for them. The watering can was made in the USA.

Over the years the copper has darkened, and the green patina has developed. This is a wonderful accent piece in homes in a range of styles (and you can use it for watering). See less
