  • "Andrea K.: I will accept your $1500 offer if you can complete today."

  • "Andrea K.:Hi Andrea, there is some inconsistency of finish on the legs to be expected for a 50 years old chair. The finish on the section that curves under the seat is not worn away - I think what you are seeing is light reflecting. In my opinion reupholstery is not necessary at all, only minor repair on the back ridge. The rest of the chair is excellent condition original upholstery."

  • "Hi Tim, I wrote earlier, am inclined to offer $1500, factoring in cost to reupholster. Still struggling to get a close up view of metal legs. Difficult to see, goes blurry in close up. You indicated condition of metal was good with minor wear, but when I zoom, I see a fair amount of pitting and uneven coating/rust close to the feet in the front and the back, and in the 6th photo, finish appears worn away on the metal section that curves under the seat. Is there any way to post close up photos of metal?"

  • "sami: Hi Sami, There is no engraving on the iron frame - Knoll only began marking the frame sometime in the 1990s. This vintage Womb chair was made in 1967, as evidenced by the partial tag on the underside of the chair. Thanks, Tim"

  • "Hi I am wondering if KNOLL is engraved on the iron frame. Kindly advise. Thank you."

  • "Andrea K.: Hi Andrea, the legs are in good shape, very minor rust/pitting. The all original feet look great. Thanks, Tim"

  • "what is the condition of the black metal legs? any rust? pitting? discoloration? thanks, Andrea"

  • "kelly: No squeaks, very sturdy and incredibly comfortable."

    April 13, 2016, 8:54 a.m.

  • "Thanks Tim. ...also, is the frame still sturdy; without movement or squeaks? Considering this for daily use."

    April 13, 2016, 8:52 a.m.

  • "kelly: Hi Kelly, No, the stiching is intact but the fabric has worn where it rubbed against a wall. I think it could be easily patched or concealed. The chair's upholstery is still very tight and well fitting all over. Thanks, Tim."
