Sold by Philip Laverne Galleries of New York. Each leg has a unique depiction of an historical Asian person. This is a very heavy solid table. It's a good size at 48" x 30" -- see picture with mini long haired dachshund puppy under the table for scale! The glass top sits on a brass ridge and is cut at the corners to fit the curved legs. Glass only fits one way --- will mark glass and table when shipped with tape for position.

Table is signed Philip Kelvin Laverne (see picture) and is truly a work of art.

The father and son team of Philip (1907-1987) and Kelvin (1937-) LaVerne created custom, limited edition pieces of furniture that were both functional objects and stunning displays of artistry. Their distinctive sculpted bronze pieces harmoniously combine innovative metalworking techniques with traditional motifs.

This Coffee table with a glass top fashioned in the LaVernes’ cherished patinated bronze technique. Its sides are decorated with acid etched and patinated floral and figural motives.

This was bought new by my parents -- so only one family ownership. less
