  • "I'm glad if this has ceased to be an issue for Diana. I have no desire to circumvent Chairish's rules."

    May 27, 2016, 4:29 p.m.

  • "I think I figured out how to remove myself forevermore from this shipping saga; thanks. And good luck."

    May 27, 2016, 2:28 p.m.

  • "To the Seller: Please give Naomi R your email address, so the two of you can correspond directly. Otherwise, I will receive every single hiccup or concern you have about this chair and the shipping, from here to eternity. And, seriously, I asked one question on Dec 15, 2015-- and I get an email update at every turn. Enough already. I mean, it's a nice chair and ottoman, but I wasn't interested because of what it was filled with.. Exchange email addresses. Please."

    May 27, 2016, 2:12 p.m.

  • "Naomi R.: How about asking the seller for his email address? There is no way they can keep you from emailing directly. In fact, I would bet that the seller listed this other places, too. Easy or Ebay. Look it up; if so, you will find the address."

    May 27, 2016, 1:58 p.m.

  • "Diana, I would much prefer to be able to email directly. I never wanted to have that conversation in public. If Chairish offers a way to email a seller privately, I can't find it. If you or Jamie can figure out how it's done, I'm glad to do it. But I think Chairish deliberately makes it impossible as a matter of policy. If so, please take it up with them. Maybe we can get them to change it."

    May 27, 2016, 1:53 p.m.

  • "I cannot for the life of me determine how to stop receiving these messages between you and the purchaser. I just don't care. So is there any way you two could email directly, so that any of us who showed, at some point, just a slight interest in this item do not have to keep reading about it or your shipping issues? Seriously. Just email each other directly, or tell me how I can stop receiving your posts to each other. ??!!"

    May 27, 2016, 1:41 p.m.

  • "Naomi R.: Hi Naomi! I received an email saying I should hear from the shipping partner shortly and pickups are typically scheduled within 5-10 business days. Hopefully they're sending you update emails as well so you're in the loop on progress."

    May 27, 2016, 1:33 p.m.

  • "The problem with all the other chairs I've seen is the ones which have enough space aren't well padded, and the soft ones are narrow, so you have to lie in the same position instead of being able to shift around. What makes this one special is that it has both -- the space and the cushioning. What happens now that I've paid for it? How do I find out when and how delivery works, etc?"

    May 26, 2016, 5:55 p.m.

  • "Thank you. I really appreciate your helping me to feel secure about this purchase; it's really important to me. I don't need a chenille type surface; in fact one of the things I liked about this chair is it looks like the surface would feel cool and reasonably smooth. But if I have to slipcover it or something, I can. The bones are more important, and if it's got good comfortable cushioning and all that space, that's all I need. I'm sure it will be more than fine, and I'm looking forward to it."

    May 26, 2016, 5:53 p.m.

  • "Naomi R.: Hi Naomi! Thank you for the purchase. The fabric itself is not soft to the touch in the way a fleece or chenille fabric is, but I personally think it feels nice. There are no springs or anything like that and I consider it to be quite comfortable. I've spent much time curled up reading in it and it's actually big enough to seat two. I'm happy to send additional pictures or anything if you think that might help you confirm you will enjoy it."

    May 26, 2016, 5:05 p.m.

  • "There. Done. I cancelled a trip I was planning in order to use the money for this, but I think it will be worth it. I can't find something with this combination of size and softness anywhere else. Please, if there's anything you know about it which would tell me it's not what I think it is -- it's not soft at all, no matter what it looks like, for example; or it has springs poking when you sit on it -- let me know and cancel the transaction. But I have every reason to believe it will be exactly what I need."

    May 26, 2016, 4:58 p.m.

  • "I am prepared to buy it at full price if I need to. But until my previous offer is either accepted, declined or canceled, I won't be able to place the sale."

    May 26, 2016, 4:52 p.m.

  • "Michelle: Hi Michelle! The chair was purchased new and has been in my family for 20 years. While the age suggests one thing, I will say it's in impeccable condition and you would never know it. There are no stains, frayed fabric, etc. It's never been in storage and always been in a home with climate control. I do not believe it will need to be cleaned unless it gets dirty in the moving process. I do have another offer that I need to respond to within 46 hours so please let me know your thoughts!"

    May 26, 2016, 4:48 p.m.

  • "Hello, I am extremely interested in your chair and would like to make a competing offer. However, I have a few questions. How old is the chair? Are there any stains, frayed fabric etc? Will it need to be professionally cleaned? Has it been in storage? Thank you grateful for your reply."

    May 26, 2016, 4:13 p.m.

  • "Hello, I am extremely interested in your chair & would like to make a competing offer. However, can you please tell me how hold is the chair? Are there any stains, frayed fabric etc? Will it need to be professionally cleaned? Has it been in storage? Than you very much...grateful for a reply."

    May 26, 2016, 4:09 p.m.

  • "I understand. I've run the numbers again and will try one more time."

    May 25, 2016, 5 p.m.

  • "Naomi R.: Hi Naomi, my apologies for the delay. I did see your offer and thank you for submitting that. Chairish only offers the white glove shipping for large items. I tried pricing out the shipping via other vendors and found similar costs. I realize this is quite unfortunate, but I can't accept your offer at this time as it is much lower than I am looking to go. I will be sure to reach out if that changes in the future."

    May 25, 2016, 4:39 p.m.

  • "I can't tell what the story is with my offer... it's as if it vanished into the ether! I don't know whether it's been rejected, or is still being considered, or never went through. I made one, but nothing shows it when I look at my profile or the item page. How do I find out what's up with that?"

    May 25, 2016, 2:47 p.m.

  • "Jamie E.: I made the offer I could. I'm sorry it was low. It's all I could afford for now, given that $509 shipping cost was real after all. I wish I could do better, and I will if we discover any other permissible way to get it to Seattle."

    May 23, 2016, 4 p.m.

  • "Chairish: So that means I actually do have the $509 shipping cost to deal with, and it isn't $219 after all? Oh no! I was just starting to believe I could make this work! I am sad. Is there any other shipping possibility besides white glove? We don't really need white glove delivery; we just need to get the thing here."

    May 23, 2016, 3:54 p.m.

  • "Chairish: Thank you! That's helpful!"

    May 23, 2016, 3:35 p.m.

  • "Jamie E.: Hi Jamie, the white glove delivery priced you see is based on your location, the buyer is seeing a different price. To find out the exact shipping cost, just click "Buy Me Now," and enter your delivery zip code in the checkout screen. You're not committing to buy and can always remove an item from your cart after you check the shipping cost. Feel free to contact support@chairish.com with shipping questions!"

    May 23, 2016, 3:34 p.m.

  • "Jamie E.: It certainly does, if it's true -- but when I look at it, even right now, it estimates it at $509!! If it's really $219 to get it to Seattle, I would be able to make an offer; probably not full price but hopefully within the bounds of reason. But I'm confused about why that $509 figure keeps coming up for me."

    May 23, 2016, 2:49 p.m.

  • "Naomi R.: Hi Naomi! The white glove shipping is estimated at $219 so perhaps that makes it more doable for you?"

    May 23, 2016, 9:56 a.m.

  • "I've returned to gaze at this chair every day for months. I wish I could come close to its price; it's perfect for me. I have a severe pain disorder, and am sometimes stuck in bed for weeks on end. We've searched for a chair with the shape and softness to let me sit up with my family, even at my sickest. This one would. I've never found another I'm sure of. Shipping is the issue; adding $500 to the price. Without that, I could offer. Do you know any way to ship it cheaper? I don't want to let it get away!"

    May 20, 2016, 9:33 p.m.

  • "Diana B.: Thanks for your inquiry! I'm trying to track down any original paperwork, but I did locate the following on the tag from the bottom. Body: 30% Cotton Felt, 15% Polyurethane Foam Pad, 55% Polyester Fiber. Cushion: 20% Polyester, 80% Polyurethane. Pillow: 100% Polyester Fiber. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you!"

  • "Hi. I was interested in this chair and ottoman. Can you tell me about the fabric and what the fill is? Thanks so much."
