Carl Bissman (b. 1893, d. 1951) was an architect who designed and built homes prior to World War II. After the war, he started designing and selling furniture, but died in 1951, and the company closed shortly after his death, so this furniture was only sold for a few years.

Bissman furniture is known for its Danish Mid Century Modern design, sturdy construction and innovative features such as cushioned, non-stick drawer glides, and solid walnut construction.

I have all 6 pieces to the bedroom set. Vanity with bench, night stand and full headboard, foot board and wooden rails. See my other listing. less
