Very well executed oil on canvas painting of a girl’s sewing class. Unsigned there was a label on backside. One girl is standing in middle of class perhaps showing off her sewing project, her new dress.
Hand carved, gilded period arts and crafts frame by prominent frame company Carrig Rohane. There are pencil marks on back but no signature. The painting is approx 28 x 36”, frame is 2 1/2” some loss to paint in corners.
The quality of this painting leads me to believe it was done by a professional either illustrator art or fine artist as the Carrig Rohane frames were higher end. There is a 1/2" tear to canvas above girl on left shoulder (see last photo). A few scratches to lower center of canvas. The painting has no inpainting or cleaning.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
