The SNCF (Société Nationale des Chemins de fer français; "French National Railway Corporation"), is France's national state-owned railway company. Begun in 1938, it used posters from its inception to advertise the multitude of destinations which were served by its rail-lines. We feel that this poster, created shortly after the company itself was created a wonderful testament to Art Deco design: strong colors and visuals which pop, clean graphic design and great typography. Classic! This poster is linen backed professionally and in excellent condition. less
