This striking photograph by female photographer is part of her 35 year study of the female form through her photography. This 1993 silver gelatin print is 11 x 14 inches and has been recently mounted in a museum quality frame with UV protection glass measuring 17 x 21 x 1.5 inches. Signed and dated on the reverse with AP / 1993.
Matuschka is a New York based artist, activist and author whose photos and essays have been widely published in a variety of international publications since the 1980s. She attended the School of Visual Arts in the mid-seventies and her accolades include the prize winning 1993 cover of New York Times Sunday Magazine, The Rachael Carson Award for her work addressing environmental concerns, a Gold Award from the World Press Foundation and a Pulitzer Prize nomination for photography. In 1996 the artist's poster (Time for Prevention) commissioned by Greenpeace won the Best Environmental Poster Award and in 2003 LIFE MAGAZINE chose Matuschka's iconic self portrait, Beauty out of Damage for their special tribute: "One Hundred Pictures That Changed the World."
Although known as a photographer and model, Matuschka's works on paper and canvas remain a constant and essential element of her art. For more than 30 years, she has been creating new bodies of work with inimitable innovation and unrelenting energy. Her art is not solely about personal experience, her imagery resonates with a universal importance and is very much a product of the times in which she resides. An award winning activist and designer for her public awareness posters, catalogues, and photo montages Matuschka works and resides in NYC.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
